Food Handler's Class
Food Handler's Class
The Washington State Food and Beverage Service Workers permit, also known as a Food Worker Card, is required in Washington State for people that serve unwrapped foods to the public. Upon completion of the food handler's class, which includes one hour of training and a Washington State exam, a Food Workers Card will be issued. All food workers are required to have a valid Washington State Food Worker Card within 14 days of employment.
As of January 2013 we will no longer be offering formal classes. If you would prefer to not use the online option, we will have Food Worker Card testing available on the first Monday morning of each month. We will have two drop in locations: one on Camano Island and one on Whidbey Island.
Both classes will be on the 1st Monday of the month from 9a.m.-11a.m.
