Food Handler's Class

The Washington State Food and Beverage Service Workers permit, also known as a Food Worker Card, is required in Washington State for people that serve unwrapped foods to the public.  Upon completion of the food handler's class, which includes one hour of training and a Washington State exam, a Food Workers Card will be issued.  All food workers are required to have a valid Washington State Food Worker Card within 14 days of employment.

The food handler's class is available on-line at www.foodworkercard.wa.gov.

Please be advised that the food card class schedule is changing as we are transitioning to the on-oline card class.  As of April 1st, 2012, there will be fewer classes (in-person) available to the public.  Check the events calendar for class times.  Please arrive 30 minutes early to complete the required forms.  The Food Worker Card is $10.00 per person. (CASH ONLY).  If you have a current card, please bring it with you.  There are no reservations required for the food handler's class, and classes are not held on holidays.
